Fortress Rum Wins Medal at Prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition

Authentic Seacoast Distilling Company Ltd became a medal-winner with its craft-blended Fortress™ Rum at the 15th annual San Francisco World Spirits Competition, held from March 20 to 22, 2015, achieving bronze in the over-proof rum category.
This year’s San Francisco World Spirits Competition received a record-breaking number of submissions, exceeding 1,500 from over 65 countries. As noted in SFWSC’s press release, “the competition is considered to be the rite of passage for top quality spirits as it has 39 of the world’s top professional palates serving as judges”. “The San Francisco World Spirits Competition has gained a reputation as the leading gauge for spirits trends and top quality products in the country. Noted journalists, distillers, beverage directors, mixologists, restaurateurs, Master Sommeliers, hoteliers, consultants and educators comprise the august body of judges.”
